Más de 2.000 kilómetros en Vespa por una buena causa.

Antonio Javier Sánchez va a hacer realidad dos sueños. El suyo, de recorrer en Vespa los más dos mil kilómetros del Vespa Raid Maroc; y el de enfermos de esclerosos múltiple, a quienes irá destinado el dinero recaudado en esta aventura solidaria.

 

 

La Asociación de Esclerosis Múltiple de Almería (AEMA) ha presentado el reto deportivo Si puedes soñarlo, puedes hacerlo. Una iniciativa que llevará al deportista aficionado Antonio Javier Sánchez a participar en la Vespa Raid Maroc del 25 de octubre al 1 de noviembre.

 

Ésta es una prueba pionera por el uso de la tecnología de navegación que emplea en el seguimiento de la misma y la única creada para ser disputada por modelos de Vespa y Lambreta a partir de 75 cc. Un total de 2.000 kilómetros de recorrido divididos en seis etapas que comenzarán en Midelt y concluirán en Hassilabied.

 

«Estos kilómetros los ponemos a disposición de manera simbólica de todos los almerienses y empresas que quieran colaborar comprando a 1€ el km», ha explicado Antonio Javier, quien ha informado durante la presentación que por ahora hay comprados 530 km y seis patrocinadores que se han adherido al reto.

 

El objetivo de este reto es conseguir fondos para que la asociación pueda adquirir una camilla neurológica y material de fisioterapia adaptado a las necesidades de los afectados con movilidad reducida. Pero además el propio deportista ha aclarado que también pretende superar los miedos personales tras el accidente que sufrió, «de ahí que haya decidido inscribirme en una prueba que se realice en moto».

 

La Diputada de Deportes, Ángeles Martínez, ha animado a los almerienses y empresarios a sumarse a la causa. Los interesados en colaborar pueden hacerlo comprando un kilómetro a través de la cuenta bancaria abierta en La Caixa, con IBAN ES02 2100 2033 55 0200024074. Este reto podrá seguirse a través de las redes sociales, ya que tiene una cuenta en Facebook.
