El próximo día 14 de octubre, se celebrará un innovador evento científico y de sensibilización social en Esclerosis Múltiple, el Networking “Mis 100 METROS por la Esclerosis Múltiple” que tendrá lugar en el Casino de Madrid y en el que participará el presidente de AEDEM-COCEMFE, Gerardo García Perales. Al término del Networking, tendrá lugar un pase privado para la prensa de la película 100 METROS que se estrena para el gran público el día 4 de noviembre.

 

El objetivo de este encuentro, entre pacientes, neurólogos  y otros profesionales de diversos ámbitos, es realizar una actualización global de la Esclerosis Múltiple, para intercambiar experiencias y conocimientos bajo un prisma diferente y dinámico, y también abrir un debate para analizar las causas y plantear soluciones, para que la Esclerosis Múltiple sea una enfermedad más visible, aceptada e integrada en nuestra sociedad. Esta reunión está avalada por la Sociedad Española de Neurología, SEN, y cuenta con la colaboración de Bayer, Merck, Sanofi – Genzyme y Teva.

La apertura y bienvenida del Networking estará a cargo del Consejero de Sanidad de Madrid, D. Jesús Sánchez Martos. A continuación, se celebrarán cinco mesas que tratarán y debatirán temas sobre el abordaje de la enfermedad, nuevas tendencias de aproximación, estrategias para mantenerse activo y el reto de dar visibilidad social a la Esclerosis Múltiple.

En este encuentro, los pacientes tendrán un papel protagonista, porque “la realidad de la Esclerosis Múltiple solo la conocemos los que la vivimos en primera persona” afirman. Son pacientes activos, todo un ejemplo de superación y gestión de la enfermedad,  como Ramón Arroyo, Ironman y autor del Libro “Rendirse no es una opción”; Paula Bornachea, un referente en RRSS; el Ironman Luis Fernando Serrano; Kiko Munar, la bailarina Nella Madarro y el actor Bruno Bergonzini.

Las Asociaciones de pacientes nacionales estarán también presentes a través de sus presidentes: Gerardo García, de AEDEM – COCEMFE; José Antonio Flores, de AELEM y Conxita Tarruella, de EME.

Prestigiosos profesionales como los neurólogos Jorge Matías – Guiu, Xavier Montalbán, Alfredo Antigüedad y María Luisa Martínez Ginés; Carmen Funés, enfermera y secretaria de la Sociedad Española de Enfermería Neurológica (SEDENE), y el especialista en Actividad Física y Deporte, Ramón Gómez Illán aportarán sus relevantes conocimientos para que este encuentro sea de amplio interés. 

La última mesa del Networking aborda la Esclerosis Múltiple desde un punto de vista novedoso, el de aquellos que deciden realizar una película, inspirada en la vida de un paciente con Esclerosis Múltiple. ¿Por qué 100 METROS?. Es el tema de la misma y en ella intervendrán: Carlos Fernández, CEO de Filmax y Laura Fernández, productores de la película 100 METROS; el director Marcel Barrena; el actor y paciente de EM Bruno Bergonzini y Ramón Arroyo, en cuya increíble historia  de superación está inspirada esta película.

 

Pase privado para la prensa 100 METROS

Al término del encuentro científico tendrá lugar un cóctel – comida y  un pase privado para la prensa, de la película 100 METROS.

La historia de superación de Ramón Arroyo, llevada al cine por Marcel Barrena, producida por Filmax e interpretada por Dani Rovira, Karra Elejalde y Alexandra Jiménez, en los papeles protagonistas,  ayudará a cambiar la percepción social de esta enfermedad. 

El 4 de noviembre se estrena en cines 100 METROS una comedia dramática familiar, una película “feel good” inspirada en la vida de Ramón Arroyo, diagnosticado de Esclerosis Múltiple con 32 años. Le dijeron que no podría andar 100 metros y consiguió realizar un Ironman, la prueba más dura del triatlón, superando sus propios límites.

Marcel Barrena, el director de 100 METROS, ha sabido reflejar esta enfermedad neurológica e incurable con gran realismo y  sensibilidad.

En palabras de Ramón, “hay que incrementar el conocimiento y sensibilización social sobre las diferentes realidades de la Esclerosis Múltiple”. Afirma que “100 METROS pretende emocionar y generar empatía, porque los pacientes nos sentimos incomprendidos”. 

Para Marcel Barrena, director de la película “la historia de Ramón es una historia que el mundo necesitaba escuchar, yo el primero, porque es la muestra de superación más alucinante que he conocido”. 

100 METROS conmoverá a los espectadores por su cercanía y muchos se verán reflejados, porque esta historia es también la de millones de personas con Esclerosis Múltiple, o con otras enfermedades, que se levantan cada día luchando contra sus limitaciones.
