La Asociación Española de Esclerosis Múltiple (AEDEM-COCEMFE) y COCEMFE nacional muestran su disconformidad con la sentencia del Tribunal Supremo que declara nulo el Real Decreto por el que se establecen las bases reguladoras para la concesión de subvenciones a entidades del Tercer Sector de ámbito estatal colaboradoras con la Secretaría de Estado de Servicios Sociales e Igualdad.

 

El presidente de COCEMFE, Mario García, asegura que las entidades de discapacidad prestamos unos apoyos y servicios específicos que son imprescindibles para nuestro colectivo. De no hacerlo se quedarían sin atender las necesidades de miles de personas con discapacidad en nuestro país.

A juicio de la Asociación Española de Esclerosis Múltiple (AEDEM-COCEMFE) y COCEMFE, la sentencia del Tribunal Supremo tendrá un efecto demoledor sobre las estructuras de atención a las situaciones de emergencia social al impedir que las ONG de ámbito estatal reciban subvenciones de la Administración General del Estado.

Mario García también ha afirmado que la red cívica de apoyo social que se ha creado en los últimos 30 años con gran esfuerzo y completa dedicación por parte de las Organizaciones No Gubernamentales no puede derrumbarse por conflictos de competencias con las Comunidades Autónomas y una interpretación formalista del Derecho, sin conexión alguna con la realidad social, ni con las necesidades de aquellas personas que más apoyos requieren para tener una vida digna.

Por ello, a Asociación Española de Esclerosis Múltiple (AEDEM-COCEMFE) y COCEMFE se suman a las medidas que tome la Plataforma del Tercer Sector dirigidas a revertir esta situación, que pone en riesgo una red fundamental de apoyo y acompañamiento que en la actual crisis ha evitado el completo colapso social al proporcionar atención a más de 6 millones de personas vulnerables y en riesgo de exclusión.
